However, it is also possible to use Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari 12.1+, and Microsoft Edge 79+. | **We really encourage you to use Chrome as a presenter though**. Indeed, Chrome assures that the quality of the stream that you send out stays stable thanks to a technology called "Simulcast". It **ensures overall stability to carry out your session, without any resolution or connectivity issues.** **CareerFairy will detect if you're not using a supported browser** like Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Opera. Some features might not be usable from a mobile device. --- # Connection Speed A **minimum of 350kbs per downloaded/uploaded stream** is necessary to join the room. || As a **presenter**, we recommend **5Mbps upstream** for optimal results. || As an **attendee**, we recommend **5Mps**  **downstream** for an optimal experience. ||| CareerFairy will downgrade your video quality and give priority to the audio if you don't have enough bandwidth. | **CareerFairy Tip** 👉 [Run a speed test](https://beta.speedtest.net/) to check your bandwidth. ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/f3bdc9beff295800/185ceb4e-06b8-4763-8f8d-78ab68_twgsuu.png) This is a test from our offices, we have a pretty good download speed. Our upload speed is good but not incredible, enough to send a good video stream. ||| Your connection speed is not the only factor**. You have to also look for **connection stability** aka the **number of people connected to that same connection**. The connection stability will impact the number of packets lost during a live session. Therefore, try to use Ethernet over Wifi and ask your team to not saturate the network. --- # Live streaming requirements In order to successfully access the live streaming platform, the device and network used to access the platform need to allow access to the following endpoints. Do not set restrictions on the IP ranges: ###### Main web application careerfairy.io - Protocols: HTTPS / Ports: 443 ###### Styling / Fonts: fonts.googleapis.com - Protocols: HTTPS / Ports: 443 fonts.gstatic.com - Protocols: HTTPS / Ports: 443 ###### Data & storage access fonts.googleapis.com - Protocols: HTTPS / Ports: 443 securetoken.googleapis.com - Protocols: HTTPS / Ports: 443 firestore.googleapis.com - Protocols: HTTPS / Ports: 443 firebasestorage.googleapis.com - Protocols: HTTPS / Ports: 443 | CareerFairy Tip 👉 check if you're able to live stream in our test environment: https://www.careerfairy.io/streaming/test --- # Firewall Settings CareerFairy works with **WebRTC** which is a rather new technology that might require some network configuration within larger companies with secured firewalls.  Here are the items you will need to check with your IT department: 1. Open TCP ports 80; 443; 3433; 4700 - 5000; 5668; 5669; 6080; 6443; 8667; 9591; 9593; 9601; 9667; 30011 - 30013 (for RTMP converter) 2. Whitelist the following domains: * .agora.io * .edge.agora.io * .sd-rtn.com * .edge.sd-rtn.com * .edge.agora.io * .edge.sd-rtn.com * web-1.ap.sd-rtn.com * web-2.ap.sd-rtn.com * ap-web-1.agora.io * ap-web-2.agora.io * webcollector-rtm.agora.io * logservice-rtm.agora.io * rtm.statscollector.sd-rtn.com * rtm.logservice.sd-rtn.com 3. Allow all connections through the secure websockets protocol (WSS). 4. Live support Please whitelist the following domains * [https://client.crisp.chat](https://client.crisp.chat/) * [https://image.crisp.chat](https://image.crisp.chat/) * [https://storage.crisp.chat](https://storage.crisp.chat/) 5. Open UDP port 3478; 4700 - 5000 ||| **UDP is highly recommended over TCP** **for better quality audio and video**. The protocol favors timeliness over reliability which is consistent with the human perceptive preferences; where we can fill in gaps but are sensitive to time-based delays. 6. Emails delivery We recommend that your email provider or email management system authorizes the below domain names to ensure the delivery of emails being sent by CareerFairy:  * mail.careerfairy.io * careerfairy.io Once you're done with the settings you should be good to go! In case you run into any issues, here are some tips to troubleshoot: * If you cannot connect to your or hear the event: Try connecting to an alternative network. University and corporate networks in particular can have restrictive security settings. You can try joining through your phone's 4G LTE connection. * If the problem persists ask your IT to unblock web sockets, the 443 ports for video streaming and the WebRTC protocol.
